Camouflage my thoughts

I hear the bombs exploding,

The screams of men and women around me

The unfortunate lives ended by one wrong step

Arms and legs blown off

After all, if your arm causes you to sin…

And then again,

The screams grow louder, the fire burns, the smell of blood and burning flesh fills my lungs

I need to escape

No one can rescue me

I need freedom from the catastrophe around me

So I open my eyes

Drown my senses with a mix of one part vodka and two parts pills

Hoping it will be enough to distract me from the war going on inside my head.
